Hi.
Coffee: Austrian Blend from Crema Coffee, Cary, NC. Dark and melancholy, good for cloudy days. Tastes how my American brain pictures the country.
Mr. Cobwebs was waiting at the apartment door. Mr. Cobwebs is a cat. Starting your day with something warm and fuzzy is nice. The cat crawled on me. I think he wanted food but I didn’t have any. None to give, anyway.
There’s a bit of a chill back to the air, but it still feels like a different season. I drove to a cafe. Some mornings, you just need to go. I lost my job two weeks ago – lay-offs. I haven’t been unemployed for three years and it’s strange going back. Last time, I was nervous. This time I’m still nervous, but there’s something nice about it. I feel like I’ve been separated from the rest of the world. A kid in the school cafeteria well after it’s closed.
Cheers to the weekend.
Oh, and I just launched the Book Review’s section of the site! Check it out.
