Hi.
Coffee: Guatemalan Extra Dark Roast, Trader Joe’s Brand; brewed quick, drank quicker as I rushed out the door on the way to an interview.
I was in a lobby today that had some confusing furnishings. The desk, walls, and chairs all spoke ‘hospital’ but there was this elaborate bronze chandelier. It didn’t so much ‘class-up-the-joint’ as create a little pocket that kept your attention so you were always looking upward and forgot you were in a pretty sterile place. Maybe that was the point.
Below the chandelier, I had a conversation with a seventy-year-old about Uber. I’ve never taken one; he’s taken them a lot. It was a nice conversation and when he left he told me to put on a coat. It’s chilly outside.
