I’m at an Art Walk housed out of CAM Raleigh. Upstairs are breakdancers – impressive. Downstairs are inked portraits put together with tiny texts (the bible comes up a lot) – less impressive
Although this is a free event, the crowd has the look of money. White dresses, gold earrings, carefully lit selfies, and men a few years older than their dates. The kind of people who purchase people, or who set themselves up for auction.
But maybe I’m being too harsh. We’re all just trying to have fun.
Downstairs, I looked up at the complicated ceiling. This used to be a warehouse -> people walked here. Now I hear loud music, moving bodies, there go the breakdancers
